Memorial Day

From the birth of our freedom to now,
Let us remember.

With sober remembrance
for all those who bravely sacrificed and served,
Thank you.

  3. Beautiful post Bernadine. I think if more folks could visit D.C. and see these in real life, they would appreciate the sacrifices that have been made for our freedoms. Maybe they'd hold those freedoms more dearly and not be so willing to give them away.

    1. It was really moving to experience all those memorials, realizing that they were in tribute to thousands and thousands of young men who gave of themselves. I could not get through the Vietnam Memorial Wall without almost sobbing because there were so many beautiful, poignant offerings, like the jean jacket left behind.
